3 Month Old Twins

I haven't blogged in a while simply because not too much has been going on lately. I have been home with the boys for the past three months and haven't gotten out much. We did, however, take them to Montana last month to visit family, and other than the fact that they slept horribly in all the new environments we put them in, they did REALLY well. It was a pleasant surprise.

We have made it through the hardest months, I believe. Things are going really well with the little guys. I worked really hard for the first two months to get them into a good routine that worked for me and them. And now that they are FINALLY well established in that routine....I am beginning to see how all that hard work has paid off. For example, they know that at 9pm every night, they are going to be laid down for the night, and since they know what to expect, they don't put up a fight. They lay in their little bassinets and they may coo and play for a little bit, and then they just fall asleep. Also, they started sleeping through the night at about 10 weeks of age. Now, at fourteen weeks, they sleep from 9pm to 6am every night and I couldn't be happier.

Elliot has started to smile and talk to Josiah here and there. Josiah isn't quite as observant...but he is the one that LOVES attention. He is definitely a lot more vocal than Elliot, and more passionate. When he is happy, he's REALLY happy and when he is mad, he is REALLY mad. Elliot is a bit more laid back...which we saw even before he was born. The poor little guy was squashed up in the corner, while Josiah took up all the rest of the room, making me look lop-sided.

Josiah tried for hours to roll over a couple of days ago. His success was met with disappointment when he realized that it only made him end up on his tummy--he hates tummy time:)

Samuel and I are both really enjoying them. They are pretty awesome. Pictures to come...
